Gary M. Cohen is Executive Vice President, Global Health and President of the BD Foundation at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a global medical technology company employing 65,000 people worldwide. Starting in 1988, he led the company’s extensive strategy to advance healthcare worker safety through advocacy, education, policy change and development of safety-engineered medical devices. Cohen previously served on the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities for Women and Children and is a member of the UN Secretary General’s Network of Engaged Men Leaders. Mr. Cohen is among the foremost private sector leaders working in collaboration with the public and nonprofit sectors to advance global public health.
