Gary M. Cohen
Gary M. CohenEVP, Becton, Dickinson and Company
Gary Cohen is the Executive Vice President, Global Health and President of the BD Foundation at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Co). Mr. Cohen is also a board director of the Perrigo Company, CDC Foundation and UNICEF USA, board co-chair of GBCHealth, and board chair and founder of Together for Girls. He previously served on the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities for Women and Children and presently serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Grand Challenges Canada.

Mr. Cohen and BD engage in extensive cross-sector collaboration to address unmet health needs globally, working with international agencies, governments and non-government organizations, focused on specific health goals such strengthening clinical and laboratory practices, safely immunizing children, addressing infectious and non-communicable diseases, reducing maternal and newborn mortality, combating antimicrobial resistance and improving safety for health workers and patients. He frequently serves as an expert speaker and advocate on advancing health and human rights, in various venues including the United Nations, Vatican, World Bank, World Health Assembly, U.S. Department of State and World Economic Forum-Davos. He has been honored for his humanitarian work by numerous organizations. Mr. Cohen holds B.A. and an M.B.A. degrees from Rutgers University and previously served on the university’s board of trustees. In 2016, he was named a Rutgers 250 Fellow in association with the university’s 250th anniversary.

Jeana Wirtenberg is Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the Management & Global Business Department, Rutgers Business School. She leads the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative for the Business School and supports the Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI). Jeana teaches Sustainability-Aligned Leadership & Strategy in Rutgers Business School’s Executive Education department.

Lois Manzella Marchitto is the Managing Director of Fitness Coaching, LLC. Lois is an exercise, health and performance specialist and holds a Dual Bachelor’s Degree from Montclair University in both Health and Dance. Additionally, Lois holds multiple certifications through the national organization, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America in areas including Group Fitness, Kickboxing, Yoga, Pilates and Personal Training. In addition to her certifications, Lois’s comprehensive knowledge in the areas of fitness management is complemented with over 15 years of experience in helping individuals improve their fitness, health, appearance and overall wellness in both the private individual training model as well as traditional facility based approaches.

Michele Blum is the Benefits Manager for Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. She is responsible for all the Health and Welfare Plans in the US for approximately 25,000 associates. Michele has worked for Wyndham Worldwide for 8+ years and during that time she has worked to enhance and communicate the employee benefit programs including Wyndham Worldwide’s corporate wellness program Be Well.

Joseph Jones serves as Vice President, Innovation Communications Americas, for BASF Corporation, headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, a position he has held since May 2017. Prior to that, he served for two years as Vice President, Corporate Communications, for BASF SE, based at the company’s global headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Mr. Jones joined BASF in 2009 as Senior Director, Global Communications, for the company’s global Catalysts division, headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey. Prior to that, he held global communications and investor relations leadership roles with both AT&T Inc. and Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. Mr. Jones has an MBA, Finance and Marketing, from the Florida Institute of Technolgy, Melbourne, Florida, and a BA in Journalism from Rowan University, Glassboro, New Jersey.
